Rules and Duties

One thing to be told first: we don’t have many rules and they are not hard to maintain, but on those few rules i really attach importance to.

Grouping / making squads
A thing that characterises us is a close and personal contact between our Wingmembers. We do ALLWAYS fly together in one squad. That means the first online invites the next who comes online into the group and so on. Our pilots do no general solos.
This is a very important part of our Wingphilosophy and it contributes to our team spirit. Thus I consider this as extremely important and appeal for compliance. Otherwise you should better look for an anonymus Mass-Wing in which you can pursue your own business. You won’t find this among us. Only in special situations you can leave the squad, for example because you need some cubits for an upgrade and want to shoot some NPCs alone. Or if you shoot water in a system where your mates are in a long fight or someone is afk. In this case leave the group and tell the Wingadministration or the Squadleader and request re-invite after you finished your stuff / you are alone in the system again.
But that does not mean that all have to fly side by side all the time. Everyone can do his stuff, assignments, farming etc, but still you do it all within one group. You can even set watermines alone (I even recommend that, because its not worth the time to sit on a watermine with a big group), but after setting the mine request for re-invite immediately. I think the idea is clear, but if you have questions to that point, ask me.

In this context one more word to grouping:
The lead is generally take by a Member of the Wing administration [Explanation]. If no member of the Wind administration is on duty, one pilot of the CAP will be voted.
If the leader will be going AFK for more than 5 minutes or has no time to maintain lead, he has to pass lead over to someone who will be voted. Only that way it is guaranteed that wingmembers who come online can be invited immediately or in battles other pilots can be invited or groupjumps can be performed. In particular Groupleader-candidates should internalize this regulation.

Wing Support
Generally we help each other. If someone is going to attack someone, then help each other – even without request and even if the ods are bad to get out there alive. Don’t let anybody down, allways help each other. If someone really needs help, he will get it. But please don’t aks for help every minute and in every unimportant situation, the others have work to do too. If you set a watermine for example, don’t expect that everytime an enemy jumps into the system the whole wing jumps to your position and sits on your mine. Of course if it’s possible to arrange, but not all the time.

An addition to the Topic „Mines“: if someone wants to set and defend a mine, then please leave the group quick, set the mine and request for reinvite. If more people would like to set a mine, make a new group, set the mine and request for reinvite. Who just sets a mine without asking / arranging a group should not complain if he has to defend it alone. Others might be busy or AFK at the moment. Therefore my recommendation: ask who wants to set and defend a mine, make a new group, set the mine and then merge the groups again.

Service before self
Of same importance as Wingsupport is the Fleetsupport and the defense of Fleet facilities. If it is possible, support other colonial pilots and defend our Outposts. Otherwise it’s to our all disadvantage. The more Sectorcontrol and Outposts we have, the more easy it is for us – more mining income, quicker fleet reinforcements. Allways remember that – service before self.

Communication
Some of us are allways on TeamSpeak. I even recommend regular participation, because of better Teamplay due to quick verbal coordination, but of course much fun and you can allways learn something of the others. TS is no obligation but preferable.
If many people are on the TS please don’t talk at the same time. Who has got the word speaks, all others are quiet. And in general all conversations should be reduced to the minimum needed to not disturb the others.
It is similar in the Squadchat. Sometimes many of us are in the group and it is written a lot. Then please reduce all conversations on the minimum needed (only tactical / fight related), otherwise important messages can get lost. Private conversations only in Wing- or Whisperchat then.
Behaviour in Chat: our Wing does not stand out through insults, provocations and discussions in chat. This behaviour is not to be performed with / against colonial Pilots and Pilots of the enemy. We convince with actions, not words.

Autonomy
I expect of every of our pilots to attend his assignments on his own. It is not possible that someone has to go with you all the time. Everyone who wants can organize hunting-tours of course, but if nobody else got time, please accept that, be patient and maybe ask at a later time.
First and foremost it’s important to learn to get along on your own. Pilots who allways do everything in a group will never really learn how to fight, especially in difficult situations. Particularly at the beginning of your carreer you have to suffer often, but you carry an experience out of every fight. This is the hard way, but who takes it and pushes himself through it will become a Warmaschine, and those pilots shall arise from our wing.

Pilote recruitment
Every Wingmember can recruit new pilots. But please take some time and verify if the potential nugget fits the wing. You know our regulations. If you think you found someone that fits, then invite him to the wing and group and then please take care of him and explain the most important things to him. The adress of our board (vigilantes.aktiv-forum.com) is to be given to every new member, with the appeal to register here and to sign in on the thread Wing-Candidate. After sign in and clearing through me, the candidate can read our regulations (and the whole CIC). Everyone who invites a new pilot, takes the „mentoring“ himself. If it is discovered that a new wingmember does not keep up the regulations, it is to be reported to the wingadministration immediately.

Miscellaneous
We do also have english speaking pilots in our wing (R3nn and DemolishER for example) and english speaking guests (like Chop). Please take this into regard and speak / write english – or at least as good as it is possible.
